Machine Readable Visa (MRV)
General requirements:
- Citizens of most countries require valid visa to enter Bangladesh.
- Type, category of visa and duration of stay are determined/confirmed by the Embassy.
- Type and category of visa vary according to the purpose of visit, length of stay and bilateral arrangement with the country of the foreign national.
- Any change in rules and regulations made by the Government of Bangladesh will apply.
i. General requirements for all categories:
- Filled-in application form
- Photographs (Size: 37mmX37mm and recent one): 02 copies
- Valid passport and
- Payment receipt of visa fee ( No fee is required for Indian citizens )

Process:
Step 1: Fill in and submit your online visa application form available at ‘www.visa.gov.bd’.
Step 2: Print the completed form.
Step 3: Once you have completed online application submission,
Fees must be paid by bank cheque payable to Bangladesh High Commission, New Delhi
Bank Name: State Bank of India
Please transfer the fee before appointment and attach a copy of the transaction with the visa form. Cash/credit card/EFTPOS/personal cheque are not accepted.
***** No visa fee required for Indian nationals applying for Bangladesh visa in any category. If any fees are asked for, the matter may kindly be brought to the notice of the high commission asap.
*****Senior citizens (above 60 years), Ladies (above 45 years) and physically challenged applicants are not required to stand in the queue. Instead of standing in the queue, they may come to the visa officer directly through gate No.1.
,Step 4: Submit the printed visa form along with other required documents and if visa fee (as applicable ) in the form of a bank draft to the High Commission visa counter on all working days from 0930 - 1130 hours.
